I have just returned from a great weekend watching Ronnie's and Steve's matches at The Crucible.

I was just wondering what the situation is with season tickets for the event.

Do you get given the same 2 seats throughout the tournament for every session? And also wondering what it actually costs for this?

Many thanks if anyone can help.

A ticket for every session costs £755 normally, but season tickets this year were £555.

However, World Snooker in their wisdom decided not to sell them to the public, only to people who had had one in 2005 being offered them last year and this.

Their reason, I gather, is to stop people buying a season ticket and then selling them off piecemeal on eBay.

However, I consider this rather unnecessary (though of course pleased that I am one of the lucky ones!). More sensible, I would have though, would be for season ticket applicants to have a Season Ticket pass, and individual session tickets marked "not valid without it". Then they can go back to offering all three kinds of season tickets without problem. If I want to sell the occasional sesison back, I can do, and they can reprint the replacement without the above comment and sell it at full price (which they do anyway).

Yes, we have the same seat for every session.
