The duration of the match was in Murphy's favour. The young Trump was a little impatient and therefore took some over-enthousiastic shots. Technically and tactically he proved to be as good as Murphy, otherwise you can't lead 6 - 5. He just didn't want to parctipate in Murphys defensive game at the end. It s the choice he made to go on attacking but his long potting failed at the end. If he had been more patient maybe...maybe not.

I don't think Murphy played bad - well, he has been playing much better, a clean attacking snooker, potting everything in sight, and that worked for him in 2005. He has a plan B now, choosing shots carefully, playing safe when needed, and that again worked for him yesterday. Maybe he was not brilliant, but Trump was a bit too impatient going for pots with a very low chance to get them potted, and of course missed those, leaving Murphy in. That was Murphy's tactics, and I don't see why I should say Trump was not outplayed by him that way. Murphy just used Trump's inexperience and impatience to his benefit, that's all. And potted all the balls he needed to win.ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN

And another one - you have to have a safety play you can rely on; showing impatience and unwillingness to participate in safety battle when you are not on top of the game (e.g. the fact that Trump's long potting deteriorated) does not work even for Ronnie, who has experience and who has a good safety game.ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN

I was very very impressed with Judd as well! Two thumbs up! I've really nothing to add to what's been said: in the end, Murphy's experience and B-game made the difference. But Trump is young. We'll - hopefully - be seeing a lot more from him! Again: two thumbs up!

Trump can play brilliant saftey when has no attack, as we saw. But Murphy was playing very safety snooker and always was giving Trump an attack which he often didn't used. Murphy just know that youngster will attack and can miss. Shaun played OK, but sometimes made bad mistakes, and if he had harder opponent, he could get a punishment for them!
I think Trump will grew older and fix his game, and next time will think if it's better to attack or make a good safety. If he can do that, he can be second Hendry!2007 TSF Pot Black prediction contest winner
