I think Trump's style looks like Ronnie, apart he is not so nervous and emotional. Perhaps Trump will be next O'Sullivan, not Hendry, but 'cool' Ronnie

In the first 11 frames Trump proved when your (long) potting is good no matter what tactics the other one uses you are still be able to win the match. Just the same with Osullivan , when you play Ronnie on course no (defensive) tactic will stop him anyway.
I saw that going differently in my mind

But Trump can prove this problem! He showed very good tactical shots. But he is too young and always attacking. I think when he grow up, it will be diffucult to beat him!

yeah as I already wrote he plays left and right handed, he is playing fast and attacking and his idol is ROS. But still a long way to go for Trump. We ll have to see in the coming years it still has to happen.

I think Ronnie might like Trump's style of play, yes.
i certainly hope so that would make my day

There was that one safety in the first session (?) though... where he wanted to pot the brown in the right middle pocket, but instead rolled up behind it. Proved to be a good choice, if my memory serves me right, he got 4 points out of that when Murphy failed to hit the ball on. It's of course hard to tell what had happened, had he chosen to play it, but at least it shows that he is not just leaping at any ol' ball in the vicinity of a pocket.
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Yes, I wanna said that, he CAN make a good safety, as he made, but he doesn't do it c's too young. I'm sure he will grow older and be good in tactical battles too!

Yes, I fully agree. But I was mentioning the opposite situation - a player is not always on form, so when your A game is not going, you have to have something of a game B to rely on. The game is not only first 11 frames, Murphy still won 5 frames of them...

Not much more left to say here, but I just have to add here as well, how much I enjoyed seeing that match (what a strange championship this is, now I start to enjoy even the matches where my favourites lose (Trump, Davis), but that says lots about the great standard or drama in those games, doesn't it?).

The hair, Elvaago, kind of cute (but then again, I do like Robertson's as well, kind of; you forgot to mention him in your hairdo list) He can always go for the Elvaago style later on, reminding me, maybe Dott should reverse to that as well...

And, yes I had looked forward to this match, as he kind of stood out in the qualifiers, beating the likes of Bradley Jones (10-8), Shokat Ali (10-7), Jamie Cope (10-7) and James Wattana (10-5) on the way. I had high hopes of him going on and beating Murphy (I guesss I am repeating myself)

Anyway thoroughly enjoyed this young man playing

Right, he didn't feel as using his back up game, youth stubborness I presume.
He must have thought his (long) potting was still good enough to win at the end.

Never saw him play yesterday, just saw the hairstyle. This game needs someone like him, another jimmy or alex who can be controversial possibly or the peoples champion, but someone with flair with the hair...lol

Neil Foulds came out with some perceptive comments during the match. Such as "is Trump here to enjoy himself or to win?"

Good point. But watchng him enjoying himself was very entertaining.
