it works

it works just fine without any proxy configuration. there was just no broadcast when i tried it
but still i cannot hear any sound. are those broadcasts with sound (comentator)?

You might not be doing anything wrong at all... it's not working for me at the moment, but did work wonderfully earlier on. Maybe just too many people using the stream now?

I'm working on it, but the stream basically gets very chopped up and basically unwatchable :/

It's actually quite easy.

Download SDP from here - http://sdp.ppona.com/

Once you've installed it, open it and click 'Open'

Enter the url of the streaming link (e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsa/n5ctrl/sp...l_now3a_bb.asx for Robertson vs. Day) and click OK.

In the 'URLs' box at the bottom, click the one ending in ''sport4auk_s1''.

Click 'Go' at the top and after choosing where to record it to, click save! (Normally this saves in .asf format, but I prefer to stick .wmv at the end of the filename).

That is basically what I am doing, but the downloaded file is not watchable. A bit of black, then some video with some more-or-less synced audio, some more nothingness etc etc What could be wrong?

I'm not completely certain what your problem might be, but are you watching through a proxy? It might be something to do with that.
