    Oh dear

I just bumped into an interview with Neil, by the Sun, mind, so it's probably nothing to worry about, but still:

NEIL ROBERTSON is out to reawaken Ronnie O’Sullivan’s worst nightmare, Peter Ebdon.

"If things aren’t going my way, I am willing to take it down to a level where it’ll be Ronnie on the ropes. And I’ll use Peter’s brilliant tactics to do it if I have to."

Noooo! I want a good match, not Neil doing Ebdon impersonations! Wonder if he'll do the pink/blue waistcoat changes as well. Please tell me it's just another silly media stunt? (It ranks up there with the Superman outfit, but is slightly more snooker related *gg*)

Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

      Hi Mai,

...........that's really funny, can't sop laughing..

...and yes, it's "Ebbo man", or "Robbo Man", or even "Cuper Man", and they've all GONE MAD..

And agree greatly, I also want a good match, and no Ebbo impersonations...
And also hope it's just another silly media stunt....lol.x

Oh, come on! Peter is the ultimate master at subtle mind games! It takes years to perfect such an efficient tactic! And Robertson is aggressive and attacking. I can just picture it...long, scrappy frame...extended safety exchanges...score 34-29 with 2 reds on...
Yeah...I'll go for this one and then roll up behind the green...Let me think about it for another 3 minutes...Ok...chalk again...blow the dust off...line up...get down on the shot...get up again...go to the ref and complain about a fly buzzing too close to the pocket..line up one more time...cast a glance at Ronnie in his chair...and his poker face ...aim...oh ffsake I can't take this anymore and wham into the red, bringing it into play and losing the frame.

Well, the interview was published in The Sun, so I wouldn't take it too seriously. And I absolutely agree with BC. I don't think Robertson can master Ebdon's tactical game. Neil should just go and play his own rhythm and his own game. If he tries to do an Ebbo, he will fail and Ronnie will run away with the match. It should be a good match, anyway! A much anticipated encounter!

Ok, I want that! One frame long (but only if ROS does Stolk for the next frame), and then it's back to normal.

I know the Sun's not even worthy of being referred to as a 'newspaper', I still thought I'd post it

An Osullivan day at the Crucible - always exciting to look forward to and certainly today as he is taking Robertson on. Electricity in the air.
I saw that going differently in my mind

Totally agree. If Neil does try to do an Ebbo he would probably destroy his own rhythm as well as Ronnies. The same thing happens to Davis as well as Ebdon when they slow things down. They do frustrate their opponents, but its often pointless, as they cant capitalise on it properly when their chances come.

Interesting interview though. Nice to see that Robertson is being a bit more complimentary about Ronnie this time.

Less than 5 hours to go till kick off.

think neil needs a good start here, over the distance, as ronnie is usually a good front runner....

think ron will win by 3 or 4 frames

                                Hi Sem,

.............agree, if Ron gets off to a good start, Robbo will have to play catch-up. And on Robbo's current form, that won't take him long

And hope Ron wins by a couple of frames too....
