  • This really is a rubbish match. I can't believe Ronnie has sqaundered a 5 frame advantage. I don't like the guy, but i really can't remember the last time he ever did that.

      • I was watching it, whilst unloading the dishwasher, it took me by surprise as well.

An excellent 140 by Robertson to finish.

          • Ronnie looked so bored and disinterested, as he has done for pretty much the last 2 years (with the exception of playing Ding or in the Premier League).

Robertson played pretty well yes, but when he comes to the table and frame after frame the balls are set up nicely for him after another O'Sullivan blunder, its not going to be that hard.

Unless Ronnie turns up for real tonight, he is crashing out.

              • ROS did look a little disinterested, but didnt play too badly. perhaps not his great standard we know he can hit.

Neil took almost every chance he got and has set up a mouthwatering final session

                Tough one to call...

'Nothing' / 'Sit in his chair' / 'Missed long pots' / 'Let Neil play his own game'... are just a few that spring to mind.
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

                    • He seems alright when he is amongst the balls and its plain sailing (hence 3 centuries), but anything that requires a bit of thought and he is breaking down, and his long potting has been pretty awful all match, as was his safety this morning.

                      • This is becoming the key match as foreseen of this WC - great play from Robertson if he goes over O sullivan he will be top favourite for the title to me. Osullivan a little desinterested indeed, doesn't look too concerned, but he hasn't lost yet of course.
I saw that going differently in my mind

                          • I don't think Ronnie is disinterested, he always shows this mood when the other guy is playing well! I think he knows that Robertson is a class player and he cannot afford to make mistakes.

The fact Ronnie has lost to Robertson in their last two meatings is definitely on his mind and the morning session has really set it up tonight. If Ronnie doesn't win the first two frames this evening he's out. Robertson is better than anyone right now at closing out matches and Ronnie simply cannot afford a mistake tonight.

I'm disgusted! Yuck! Go home, Ronnie! Maybe you're busy and we're keeping you here. Go...home!
And before Robertson's fans feel attacked, I find it disgusting not to be able to maintain such a healthy advantage, to break-off so stupidly and to generally play...urgh.
Go home, Ronnie! Best-of-nine with Robertson?Ha! Ha-ha! Bwahahhaha!
No need for being histerical BC -at the end of the day it s only a game of snooker we are taking about

                              • i second you on this one. I also like this kind of snooker discussion instead of coming on and venting dislike of a player by cheering when he is losing without using any arguments or well balanced views. Apart from his opponent playing well, he always is dismised with his own play when it is not at least a 70 plus break. I gather there is the crunch of his defeats. Sometimes you have to win frames with smaller breaks and a bit scrappy to take the hurdle.
