Higgins started this session fantastically.
Some fresh percentages courtesy of Eurosport :
Ronnie 92% pot success; Higgins 90% (hope I am not mistaken and if I am blame it on my wearing glasses or wishful thinking )
Ronnie 50% long pot success; Higgins was on 75% last time.
What pleases me is that Ronnie slowed his game down. I'd be curious to know about average shot time for both. He's extremely careful when in the balls and rarely loses position. As for Higgins...his main weapon today has been his tremendous long potting.
4-4...couldn't be fairer...And we do get two sessions tomorrow.S.P.I.L.F.

Mon, Ronnie. I want both sessions tomorrow, not just one.
But he is deadly in the 'zone' and this compensates a lot. A morning session as well tommorow, the previous one Robertson took nearly all the frames I think.
But he will do ok, JH not that impressive as announced so farI saw that going differently in my mind

you have to imagine the winner of this match is going to take home the silverwear.

.........I agree, and really enjoyed the first session today, and made me smile how Ron took note of every little shot that Higgy played, and vice versa, they have a great respect for each other. [I know Ron has often said in interviews that he's finds Higs and Hendo the most challenging to play against, which I agree with.]
And must admit too, that even though I'm a die hard Hendo and Ron fan, always supported Higs as well. It's a shame that they have to meet in the quarters as it would have made a brilliant final, but that's the luck of the draw, I suppose.
And look forward to the next session now.......sigpic
