Being a proud scotsman I am delighted that it looks like one of my countrmen will be bringing the title back north,unless ronnie makes a murphy like comeback(unlikely considering the opposition but not impossible)then we will have either john os stephen in the final and due respect to the other players either one should win.My hope is that stephen maguire will win it but feel john,s name is on the cup.In fact im away to place a bet on john to try and recoup my losses from stevens today

I wouldnt be counting any chickens just yet - if Ronnie doesnt climb his Mount Everest size mountain tonight, Murphy and Selby are looking like tough opponents.

..........I've got divided loyalties here, always been a Ron and Hendo fan, but supported Higgy as well.

Higgy has played brilliantly well though, and who knows what will happen. They are both great players, and it's a shame they couldn't meet in the final, but that's the luck of the draw I suppose.

Good luck to them both anyway......

As much as I would like to see John take this title, for me Murphy has just gone favourite. He has not got the game of a Hendry or Higgins but he has that Hendry like toughness and John could well have left a lot of himself in his match with Ronnie.
Maguire is under the cosh with griffiths and although he is winning he seems to have slowed his natural game a bit and wont frighten John.
