So here we are again! First frame of the session going now.

Before John got himself into a missfest (fifth attempt at escaping a snooker now!), the total scored points were Higgins 796 and Maguire 799.

      17th frame score: 0-51

Edit: Maguire takes the first frame.

      8-9

Shall we guess that 9-9 is next up?

      Edit II:

OMG! Mags was leading with 64, and John came in to clear up the table and spectacularly enough missed the black. Maguire potted the black - and the white went in-off.

      9-9
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Higgins misses black for the frame. Maguire pots it and white as well. 9-9 Bad luck.

9-9 it is, but what drama. John clawing himself alll the way back, just to miss the final black. Maguire hitting it alright, but.....

          going in-off!

but a quickfire 82 (was it?) from Stephen and it is a deserved 10-9!

A good 82-break from Maguire there, taking the next frame. I'm still gutted about the in-off, that was really sooo unlucky. Good work from Maguire not to let it get to him, as I thought it might. It's a very fair lead, John isn't really play all that well now :/

            9-10

I can't imagine mcguire not going to the final, JH luck can't go on like this, and btw if I were were JH I would keep a close eye on my wife
I saw that going differently in my mind

Missing in action: John Higgins' long potting. That's the third or fourth he has missed so far. This session.

11-9 to Maguire after an endless frame and a flattering result for Higgins as Maguire really dominated this session so far.

Definetely, this is what I was trying to say - JH must be lucky he is only 2 frames behind, brilliant yellow by Maguire in that last frame. But JH proved he can be lucky so far so this isn't over yet

JH always has been good friends with luck... I remember the recent finals with Ronnie... sometimes it was almost surreal...

What I like about Maguire today is the fact he is playing for what he is worth ; JH instead is waiting and waiting and trying to capitalize errors

Higgins is off today. This is not good news. If he loses, it means Selby must beat Murphy, or Murphy is world number 1.

                                COME ON HIGGINS AND/OR SELBY!
