            COME ON SELBY!!

Murphy lost his chance at 6-2, Selby has to start the next session well. If so.........

I fell asleep at 5-2 and it looked dreary then, but waking up to a 5-3 this morning was rather unexpected and.... uplifting! A bit flattering to Selby, but at least he is still with it and this match didn't turn into a one sided affair from the start. Hope Selby can find some nerves today and play liked he used to to get into the semis!

              COME ON SELBY!

                I second that "'MOOOOOOOOOOOON Selby!"

Marcel Proust had an haddock! If you're calling the author of 'A la recherche du temps perdu' a looney, I shall have to ask you to step outside!

the commentator last night was not happy with selby and murphy talking to each other and laughing around...i too find such a behavior not proper for a match as such a level ..they should try to play more seriously and stop messing around ...
                  or what you say folks?

I'm all for laughing and joking a bit, after all these players (and the ref) are stuck with each other for what could possibly turn into 33 frames. A relaxed atmosphere, well, as relaxed as it can get at this stage, is more likely to bring out good snooker, I think.
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Quite true. The worst thing for me is when the players don't seem to enjoy what they are doing. Best example: David "I hate snooker" Gray. He seems to be miserable all the time. Peter Ebdon's sphinx-like behaviour is OK, but boring to watch.

Well, they are friends... I heard Selby say that last night in an interview.

actually boring matches are meanly because the boring style of the players .
no one can make the match more exciting like ronnie o'sullivan and he does not smile or laugh much .
anyhow some boring style players would be easier to watch if they relax ..
its all about the way you play your game.

I actually don't like O'Sullivan's style, I rarely watch his matches, only when he is playing in the semis or the final. I enjoy safety play a lot more than potting ball after ball. I also don't like the way he is moving around the table, it's somehow a bit too quick and makes me feel uncomfortable. The player I like watching most is probably Ken Doherty.

Hey, you still got the link to that interview? I wanna hear it from Selby.

I've heard Murphy say it in interviews a couple of times, how much they like each other and how good friends they are, but I always thought that Murphy was just imagining it or denying reality. Anyway, maybe Selby is just taking the mick and pretends that he likes him. He is known to be one for jokes.
