It's going to be a great match. Both great break builders, unlike last year

      COME ON HIGGY
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

Two of the best games of Snooker I have ever seen in the last two days. Both players deserve to be there. I am cheering on Higgins, but I hope that it is a really good game. Good luck to both of them.

I am sure its gonna be a good final.
I expect Higgins to win it atleast by a frame difference of 4-5.

              Go Higgins!!!

John looked to be sharper today and running into a spell of top form.
A comfortable 18-7 for John and a possible early bath for Selby.

                  Sunday's order of play
                  3pm
John Higgins v Mark Selby. Ref: Eirian Williams

I think it will be interesting final, c'os both came through diffucult opponents so I won't say John will win so easily. But of course he probably will be stronger

                    John Higgins V Mark Selby

                    Hi,

............and really great S-F performances from both Higgy and Mark to get to the final.

Higgy has more experience of playing in the final, and is playing well, so this could work to his advantage, although Mark is playing really well too, and he kept his focus and concentration to beat Murph yesterday, so should be a great match.

They are both deserved winners, and can't wait for the match to begin.

It's been a really great World Championship.

                    What do you think?

                    Lol....xx

                        Blondie,
Yes its been fantastic and already Im wishing the year away for next year.
I think John will have Marks measure today and tomorrow but in general the players have given their all as usual.
Im dreading the quiet time we are facing and hoping everyone does not disappear off the boards and we can think of things to say.
Ive never been involved on forums before and dont know what to expect.

C'mon John! Just two more days, four more sessions - and the trophy will be yours again

I know, they both have tough matches and opponents behind them, and have both played superb snooker to get to the final, but I really do think that John will win this. He somehow managed to get back even after Mags had a lead and was completely dominating the match; After having played an awful session where nothing went right. He found his long potting again, managed to steal a frame or two (honestly, snooker fatigue is setting in here and I can't tell the sessions properly apart anymore) and his positional play was back on spot. Ok, so the last frame was appalling (but oh so entertaining and heartbreaking and exciting), it did indeed look a lot like me and a mate playing, but from here I doubt that Selby can touch him.

Am I the only one who keep thinking of Ebdon when I watch Selby? (No, not optically. D'oh.) He can go oh so slow and oh so tactical, but all of a sudden he nearly explodes and smashes in a century.

Anyhow. The final should be a treat, but I cannot see how it can top the Mags/Higgins match in terms of having everything.
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

I thought the other semi had alot of quality, Higgins was shaking like a leaf at the end - Selby wasn't. The person who said Higgins will have less nerves in the final is completely wrong I believe. The semi is as tense in the single table situation, maybe more so. Selby probably played as well as anyone in last year's World Championship, same this year. If he is similar to Ebdon then I think that's a big complement to him.

It was also meant to be a compliment. I might not always like to watch Ebdon (or indeed Selby), but a very fine snooker player he is.

The last frame of the Higgins/Maguire semi was indeed a twitchy affair, for both players. I guess it was just the atmosphere at that given moment in time, I've never seen either of them playing like that, letting the whole tension get to them to the point of not being able to string together a break of 8. As a curious little fact: John hadn't slept the night before the last session with Mags. Could explain a thing or two
