Great match for certain. It just ended much too late.
I was very delighted that John Higgins won, at 14 - 13 I thought he had blown it away. He looked much more nervous and without confidence.
But Selby also had much honour of the match. I don´t think you can blame Selby for the shot time. Most of the time he played some extremely good shots afterwards, and anyway he isn´t slow when he´s amongst the ball.
And then slowing down the pace is a part of the mental game. It would be boring if everyone sprinted around the table like Drago and O´Sullivan. If Higgins had taken 2 centuries and 4 halfcenturies and had won 18 - 4. It wouldn´t have been half as interesting, and it wouldn´t have been an epic match.
