  • POLL: OK, it's Crunch Time....

Ok folks,,,this is it! Who will win the 2007 888.com World Snooker Championship??
Only 2 contenders left, John Higgins who made a fantastic comeback from being 10-14 down to win 17-15, having struggled behind Stephen Maguire for almost the entire match, And Mark Selby who played a brilliant match against Shaun Murphy and who came back from 1-5 down to level at 8-8 and then at 12-12, and then in the last session being down 14-16 and winning the decider 17-16. Please vote on the poll and put your thoughts here!

John Higgins, he knows how to win it
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

      JOHN HIGGINS!

      OK I'm biased but well....lol...

John is an experienced player, he already has a crown under his belt so it's a huge advantage. Selby is the outsider, he'll have nothing to lose.

      Let's say 18-12 for Higgins!

John will win it if he playes like today and like he did against Ronnie and Fergal...Selby is a fantastic player but I do think he will feel the pressure of actually being in his first FINAL in the Crucible. John is far more experienced and can handle the Crucible better in the end.

I voted for Higgins. But honestly: wouldn't mind Selby winning either, simply because he did so well just now.

But I think clearly Higgins' experience will be the deciding factor in the end. He's simply got much more "finale" in him, if that makes sense. And more power to him, too! Go Higgo!

same sentiments, so long as it's not Murphy

John is a bit in and out these days but he is/was different class if he finds his touch it will be easy 18-7.
Congratulations Mark but World Champion No.

I am going to flip a coin 35 times to see who wins each frame. And whoever gets to 18 first, that who I'll predict to win. Both are in sublime form, both are good with pressure, both can come back from behind behind. Both have beaten people in great form.

                  I DO NOT KNOW! :-)

Oh, this is a tough one, both players have played fantasticly but this is the World Championship so I think John has more experience, will cope with the pressure, and therefor my moneys on John.

Higgins was all nerves at the end of the semi, Selby wasn't. The semi is at least as tense as the final.

good, so it's not me being square-eyed from too much TV and TSF, thought I had déjà-vu at least six times...
