Dott verses Ebdon Mark II?

This match is looking like it could go the same way as last years final. Both players look tired and are not playing the same standard as they were in previous matches. A huge similarity with last years final. The next session will probably show how this match will be played.

However if this match does go the same route as last years will there be the same amount of critisim? The answer is no. I think people jumped on the stereotpyes of Ebdon and Dott being 'slow' and 'boring' players whereas in this game they may be more sympathetic as to the strain these two have been through just to get here. It will be very interesting to see.

I think you are rigth, unfortunately. And this is in my opinion related to the subject I raised in the thread I opened this morning about the Crucible format of play and schedule.
And then Selby will win probably, because he is younger, and will recover more quickly and completely than Higgins between the sessions.
I'm not sure this should really be the key factor when it comes to nominate the snooker World Champion not taking anything from Seby's merit.

i think you will be suprised, they will improve. and higgins i expect to win.

Guess a lot of the criticism last year came from the fact that there's a lot who doesn't like Ebdon (and Dott) and the fact they're not always fast and attacking players. Espicially the "Ronnie fanatics" have played a big role here I think. Ebdon's QF against him in '05 and Dott's semi against him that year didn't help on that either.
I really enjoyed the final last year even though it wasn't full of big and fast breaks.
There'll just always be the ones that hates all snooker which doesn't have lots of tons or Ronnie in them.

Anyone who critisies this final. Knows nothing about Snooker . Here is two people trying there socks off. Still think John has the class to come though in the end. Mark has made a right good Final of this CONGRATULATIONS
