I also think it is used far too much. One possible use would be a system to project dots on the table after a miss has been called??

I don't really see the point in it, all snooker fans know what the player was trying to do and why he cocked it up! - it does not take everything into account either in my opinion, lets see it show how neil robertson played an S shape escape against Ronnie!

        I must be thick,then!
I'm not the most knowledgeable viewer,so for me hawkeye is really helpful.
It's a very good tool for those of us who don't instinctively know what the player was intending to do, and I think it might even help in making new viewers understand the game better, thus becoming more interested in the game. Especially for those of us who live in countries where snooker is a marginal sport that most people haven't heard of. (I know that might apply more to Eurosport viewers than to BBC viewers).

I like hawk-eye, I (as one of the less capable snooker players among the fans) found it very interesting to see it on the BBC - unfortunately less interesting on German Eurosport since our commentator can't really explain what hawk-eye is showing

                hawkeye

i like it but would also like the over head view as well not seen that for some time unless they have it on sky which i have not got
any view which shows just how hard our beautiful game is,is great to me
So it's Rorschach and Prozac and everything is groovy

I like it, but yes, it does get used a lot. Sometimes I think they should use if for explaining the rules to the public. I find that a lot of people don't watch snooker purely because they don't understand it!
