Yeah I'm quite looking forward to it. It's only a half hour, single frame thing but if it's in good spirits it should be entertaining. Ronnie and Davis seem like good choices too.
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
vernon was awesome! that last pink aswell was superb! Ronnie looked half assed (as usual!) but altogether i thought it was really funny and good to see some snooker again!

Oh and how good is Green Triangle Chalk!!!!! love the stuff!!
It was good to see the snooker lads getting involved in this charity event and maybe popularising the sport a little bit at the same time.
I think it showed the public just how hard a game it is to play, which we sometimes forget when we see the top players make it look effortless at times. Bradley Walsh was annoying, Ronnie tried quite hard but it wasn't easy for him to get going. Vernon did quite well on some of his shots, the last pink was like Neil Robertson in full-flight. Steve was his usual friendly self.
It was just for fun so we shouldn't start having a go at anyone. Ronnie seemed a bit serious if anything, he certainly didn't seem too comfortable with his new cue. I thought Bradley Walsh was pretty funny actually, obviously he should stick to comedy because his snooker is laughable. I hated the colour of the cloth though, purple just didn't look right at all and made it difficult to tell the colours of the balls at times.
Steve and Vernon beat Ronnie and Bradley. They were ahead pretty much all the way through although Ronnie caught up enough to take it to a final pink, which Vernon superbly potted Perrie Mans style, thumping it in off its spot from baulk.
It was good to see, but it was a bit too farsical for my liking really. Ronnie looked bewildered by the whole thing, Steve's quiet, dry humour was smothered by Bradley's slapstick. None of the players bar Vernon or possibly Ronnie early on looked to have any interest in winning. It all felt a bit forced and disjointed. Snooker in my opinion just isnt suited to that kind of entertainment, and they'd have been better doing it like the real pot black and just having a light hearted frame.
That said, if it makes some money for the various charities it's done it's bit, and it was fun in a slapstick kind of way.
thanks Robert. It was a (and only one) double then?
Sometimes it is nice to see sport celebs under different circumstances.
For example, I really enjoyed seeing Ronnie in Top Gear. He did amazingly well driving and was quite good entertainment being interviewed...
Yeah, should've mentioned that sorry, just one frame of doubles. The shots within a break alternated between the celeb and the player, with any points scored by the celeb counting double. I think the highest break was 11 (red + double blue).
I liked that Top gear interview too, Ronnie's personality came across quite well, he just seemed to go into his shell a bit in this pot black thing.
