I read somewhere that the live scoring would be fixed for the comp in China but obviously something has gone wrong.Perhaps it is being done to make Hearn look bad?

yes Live Scoring is back for a 1 table contest ....

wont be convinced of it effectiveness until the EPTC2 then we will see how good it will be with the amount of matches there.
