Why wasn't Selby playing in last Premier League? Something that I have always wondered.

Yep. He got a final there year before, Masters final and a few more good performances
I was reading an article about premier league that year somewhere and saw reasons for players chose there
Hendry- 147 at the crucible and 7-times world champion
However theres written that at premier league must be:
-recent well-doing players
-player from east
-championship league winner
-a legend
looks like Selbs just didnt have a place there....btw at times PL was from 8 players and best of 8 frames....

I think you´re right, and if Ronnie O´Sullivan doesn´t win the world championship it could well mean that Hendry won´t get an invitation as we must presume that Ronnie stands in front of Hendry when it comes to invitations. Hendry could offcause win the world championship, but I don´t think that´s realistic any longer.

I don´t want to watch him, but if his merits in that tournament wouldn´t give him a place I would find it very strange and unfair.

3rd will be the winner of this event, Ding must be there, Robertson, Higgins and...Williams??

There'll be Murphy - defending champion, Higgins who will be number 1 next year barring complete disaster, whoever wins Championship League, I think Ronnie will be invited anyway, and Ding probably takes the "Asian" spot. So it's 5 already. If someone other than these five wins WC he'll take the 6th spot, so one is left.
