Great steal from Higgins. He looked like going to trail 0-2 and turned the match over 3-1

Ali is certainly playing very well... He seems very relaxed & playing all the right shots at the right pace
EDIT: I'm really liking the comeback Mark is staging against John! :snooker:Last edited by cue1; 4 January 2010, 08:13 PM.Winner of C77's Masters Fantasy Game 2010

If say Selby, Higgins, and Carter are all on 3 points/wins, how do they decide, who is playing in the play-offs?
And it seems not everyone will have played everyone before the start of play-offs, or am I missing something?Co-winner of Spike’s 2009 UK Championship number of centuries prediction contest.

they will decide the positions in the league table on the number of frames won and lost by each player
and every player plays 6 matches in the group stage then it is the play-offsWinner of the China Open Fantasy Game 2010

And in the case of Carter losing to Trump without stealing a single frame and thus equaling the 11W-11L ratio of Mark Selby he still finishes ahead of him (placed 4th and earned an advance into the play-offs) as he defeated Mark in their respective match.Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. table after group phase is:
1.Trump 4 +6
2.Carter 4 +4
3.Maguire 4 +3
4.Selby 4 +2
--------------------
5.Higgins 3 +1
--------------------
6.Murphy 2 -5
7.Day 0 -11
So 4 players with 4 wins
Table between them:
1.Selby 2 wins 8:5 frame diff.
2.Carter 2 wins 8:7
3.Trump 1 win 6:7
4.Maguire 1 win 5:8
So i think Selby-Maguire
and Carter-Trump
in the semifinalsWinner of 2008 Grand Prix Prediction Contest

Trump's and Maguire's advance into the latter stages was given.
Higgins, Selby and Carter had all 3 wins.
Given Trump's results and the fact he was one frame up against Carter I was leaning towards Ali losing the match. I was contemplating the positions with the scenario of Ali not winning a frame against Judd.
John's W/L ratio would be then better than Ali's as well as Mark's. The battle for the 4th place would be therefore decided based on the result of Ali's and Mark's previous match.
I could have made a mistake in my calculations, though.Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman
