No, he didn't use the purple cue. He was playing with a cue that looks to be a JP with his old design (1 pc Ash shaft, Ebony butt with a single ovangkol splice & single maple veneer) :snooker:

I like this format of play. It is fast, exciting, obviously fun for the players too and even the surroundings seem cosy like they were playing in one's living-room. Bo5 is enough distance in my opinion, rather than longer matches with a shot-clock ie. Would like too see more of this stuff
