I find Ding very entertaining to watch, because he has loads of class on the table.
    Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

If every pro played with flair and attacking prowess then snooker would be boring to watch. You need a mixture of playing styles and while I agree some of the pros are lifeless in character in the modern game of snooker its about winning first. In history you remember the winners of torunament events not the player who was runner up playing with flair and attacking prowess!

I think a title for Ding would probably be the absolut best promotion. It could give an even bigger kick to snooker in Asia, which is necessesary, if prosnooker is going to be alive 20 years from now.

Not always and not just in White's case > a few words on the so-called 'Waterloo Fallacy’: if you visit the battlefield you’d think that Napoleon had won, such is the concentration and veneration of Boney paraphernalia. So too in sport that inspires public imagination. Tom Watson didn’t win last year’s Open; Stewart Cink did. Neither Denman nor Kauto Star won this year’s Gold Cup; Imperial Commander did. Yet these events have been recorded so the losers’ posterity will be remembered. Davis, Clegg and Portsmouth FC may lose their respective battles this year, but I’m sure history will record it as if they had won.
