Some members on this board will visit tournaments. If you dont like staying in hotels or a B&B, I have discovered, renting an apartment is very lucrative. You get much more space and facilities for at least the same price. Even more, if you get an apartment that sleeps 2 or 4, you could share the costs. Also, checking in and out can be more flexible. Most information can be obtained through the website of the city, where the event is taking place or just google, cityname apartment.

this has been a topic in the chatroom a few times and is an excellent way to share the price, or possibly reduse it "per head".
also, this site itself would be a good place to get information from people who have visted the venues before, and also others who live "in" the location.
it has the added bonus that the chatroom and the messaging facilities are a little bit better to share info of plans of trips, rather than generalise on forums about details..

I have rented an apartment in york for the uk for 3 nights. I will give information about it after my experience.
I have another link for some nice apartments in York. Its near the barbican. I did not chose these ones, cause i got a better deal with the other one I reserved.
