We keep hearing in the press about how the WSA are putting in the effort to make the game more global. If this is so why do they insist on having the main tour qualifying(PIOS) in Wales. I notice there are very few of the Asian players in the first event. This could be put right by having a similar tour run in Asia and split the main tour allocation to four qualifiers from each tour. Ding has always said that there are many good players from his region, but what chance do they have?

The PIOS is open to everybody, whether Asian players compete or not is their choice - remember that both Tian Pengfei and Liu Song qualified through the PIOS, and the Asian Champion gets an automatic place on the Main Tour every year anyway.
If you are concerned about the distances and travelling costs involved, remember there are also players like Vinnie Calabrese (Australia) who are competing this year.
As far as an "Asian Tour" is concerned, wasn't there a plan for China to establish its' own tour, and for the champion to get a place on the Main Tour? Perhaps they could give the winner of the Thai ranking list a place as well?
