Looking at the frame scores, it was very scrapy. Don't think neither of them played well.

          Steve Davis 0-6 Ding Jun-hui
          47-55 (Davis 47, Ding 31), 29-78 (Ding 37), 56-57 (Davis 39, Ding 57), 12-55, 39-54, (Ding 54), 41-59

Unlucky for Davis to lose third frame just by a point. Oh well.

            Jimmy 1-1 Ken

According to the league table at the bottom, Jimmy has played 2, won 0, drawn 0, lost 21 !!!!!!

Needless to say, nobody predicted a highest break of 57, though there are still two matches left in this prediction period!

SOme match reports , so those who haven't seen the match can get a better idea about what happened there :
Ding Moves To The Top Of The League

DING Jun-Hui jumped to the top of the Betfred Premier League Snooker as he recorded the first whitewash victory of this season’s tournament.
He defeated Steve Davis 6-0 and the Chinese player has now gained three points after he drew his opening encounter with Ronnie O’Sullivan.
It was a miserable start for the competition for Davis although he had chances in every frame and with a bit more luck would have won some of them.
The opening frame was a scrappy one as both players struggled to find their rhythm.
When Ding missed a red with the rest that enabled Davis, who was making his first Premier League appearance of the season, to come to the table and he made a break of 46.
However, he could not wrap up the frame and a later mistake when he fouled gave Ding another opportunity, which he took with a break of 31 to move 1-0 ahead.
Davis made a bright start to the second with a spectacular long range red but could not build on this as he then missed a yellow off the spot. Ding was also failing to convert chances but was soon back at the table when The Nugget missed a routine green as he was struggling for form.
A lengthy safety battle ensued before another miss by Davis, again on the green, saw Ding pot the last five colours to move 2-0 up.
Davis dominated in the early phases of the third frame and went 53 points ahead but again could not do enough to seal the victory when he missed a shot that he would have potted at his best.
For the third successive frame Davis could have clinched it but yet again he was punished as Ding scorded 57 to snatch a 3-0 lead and ensure he would collect at least a point.
No match had ended 6-0 in this season’s Premier League and Davis was battling to become the first player to suffer a whitewash. But that prospect looked more likely as another error-strewn frame swung in Ding’s favour for 4-0 despite the highest break by either player only being 17.
Things got worse for Davis, a six-time World Champion, as he remained in his seat in the fifth as Ding looked to compile a frame-winning break.
But he missed a shot when on 54 although it again was not punished as Davis conceded the frame when he missed a red as the score moved to 5-0. It became 6-0 in the next but both players had chances as the highest frame was again only 23.
Davis will be hoping for a better performance next week in Derby but will have to play better to secure a good result against current official World No.1 Stephen Hendry.

...and a bite of Kendo's statement after the match:

“I’m just happy to have beaten Jimmy,” said Doherty. "After losing against Ronnie I needed a few points on the board. I lost last week and didn’t get going but it wasn’t the match I wanted first as Ronnie had already played and got into his stride.

“I’m finding the shot clock a little unusual as I’m rushing when I actually have plenty of time. But when you play and get used to it, it will become natural.”

Alex - neither really - Davis started off quite well but couldn't seem to win a game. Ding didn't do an interview as 'his English isn't good enough yet', they interviewed Mike Hallett about the game instead.
I must say I do wish I could warm to Ding more, he's a good player but seems to have no charisma whatsoever, and I'm not sure the British audiences will ever take to him.

Dings a robot and Steve's past it. Pure snookerwise I was impressed the way Ding played Steve in the UK but off the table its a sack of cement!
