Well I was there and I must say I thought the same at this point. Then it really slowed down again and I have to admit we left when it was 3-1 to Ronnie! I almost lost the will to live on that brown ball! We only live 10 minutes away and knew we'd get the end of the match. I must say it was a fantastic atmosphere, a great crowd and I think a better venue than the GMex C.C.Originally Posted by laser_leveller

Well that was another amazing performance from Ronnie in the final, great to see him on pretty much top form and he was a very deserving winner. Sad that Jimmy couldn't really put up a fight but he didn't do too much wrong overall.
Having attended the semi-finals I have to agree that the Wythenshawe Forum was a much better venue than the MICC. It felt more intimate and appropriate rather than being stuck in the corner of a massive hall. The atmosphere was excellent and the crowd seemed really up for it.
