I love tradition : The Crucible Theatre !!! I have come to love it, I feel I'd miss it, each time I "go" there with Eurosport it's like coming back in the HOME of snooker.

i want it to stay at the crucible the atmosphere is great and i will be there in 2005

if it does have to move then cardiff would be great as its only 30 miles from me

I am sorry to say that Cardiff didn't bid at this "auction" : the 6 cities that fight for this honour are Sheffield, Liverpool, Newcastle, Preston, Manchester and Birmingham. Anyway, we'll find out what the WHERE is in April 2005.

i think the best thing to do is to rotate it around different countries. this would also probably help to open up the sport to many new people around the world

agreed. move it around the world.
whats the point of a WORLD championship if it's only held in one country.

What's new about Sheffield's secret weapon : the Billiardrome ?

I've not really heard about that yet. But it is looking more likely that its going to be moved from Sheffield, it will be a sad moment for me, I have many memories there.

Well, we don't know that yet. Wait till April - that's when the decision will be made public. Unless, of course, you've got some secret tip from Sir Rodney ?!... As I voted for Sheffield, I keep hoping. Maybe they are going to move it from the Crucible to the new Billiardrome when it's ready.

I would also like to see it stay at the crucible but I would mind seeing move around the world.

I would love to see in Australia but I no it is a rare possibility to have it here.

                        Hi,

I do not mind where it goes, although Sheffield is it's home. but I am going to Sheffield on the 25th April to see a match I have bought my tickets just waiting for them to be sent to me. Really looking forward to it. It was always my dream to go to the crusible and watch a match so here i go.

The PURPOSE BUILT built 3-3,500 seater Billiardrome arena details can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire/..._feature.shtml. Why not SnookerDome? So even if it moves away, it could return home and remain in the one venue. £3m is a lot for any city to lose and as it's the best venue on the circuit, just give one of the other cities another tournament. Embassy Darts stays in Frimley.

i wouldn't move it around the world, but move it around the UK, still using the crucible. Mainly i would want it in birmingham, because there are no ranking tournaments around nuneaton and the midlands.
