Do you have a crystal ball or something? He was on 63 when I read your post, according to the Live Score and to the stream.

71 now, so bar any mishaps, he will get it, though.

Why on Earth was he playing on in need of 16 snookers?! Trying to freak Fu out or something? Didn't get any practice time?

              That having been said:

That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Had it not been The Great O one would nearly have thought he was trying to put Fu off by strange manners.

Right, i'm gonna say something, and before all you Ronnie fans jump on me and call me a hater or whatever, this isn't an accusation, just thinking aloud.

Could Ronnie be trying to slow down this session for some reason, maybe get it ended before all the frames can be played? First he asks how many frames there are in it, then deliberatly messes around for no apparent reason to add about 6-7 minutes onto the frame time. I know this is tin-foil hat stuff at this stage, but it was unusual that he was pretty intent to keep the frame going for some reason.

it seems Ronnie's just trying to get the game going for him. so many mistakes he's made already, maybe didn't have time for a warmup at practice table this morning?

To try and lay snookers and stuff when you obviously can't win the frame could be seen as bad manners (although I'm not too bothered personally).

What did the BBC commentators say about this?

There was also this incident last year (?) with Ronnie and Holtie, where Holtie played on, despite not really having a chance, but at least he tried to pot some balls, to get some table time, as they say. I'm not really sure what it was Ronnie was doing there, but it didn't look like he was really trying to lay snookers. (Or he was very bad at it.)

                        Bizarre.

They didn't critize it, and Clive talked some rubbish about how Ronnie was letting Marco carry on because it's bad manners to concede on someone elses turn. Then Ronnie kept going, and Clive didn't mention it again.

Wow, Ronnie hasn't turned up yet. Marco has gotta use this to get a decent lead going.

Just getting table time. Indeed, very unlike Ronnie, but in this tournament he looks a bit unlike himself... Very focused, very determined, maybe a bit more patient and so on. Just hope he doesn't let his mistakes to disappoint himself, and this won't be just a one sided final.
