great match and indeed worthy of a final

Ronnie should find a solution for his long potting which has disintegrated to levels unknown even to himself

i believe the hungrier and the better man won today... very well played & indeed a well deserved win Marco

i luved the interviews, great sportsmanship & respect between them

Anyone know how much Ronnie will climb the provisional?

IIRC it was a left handed shot, usually Ronnie gets very high praise of his left handed game, but what doesn't get mentioned is that he misses much much more easy balls left handed than right handed.

No Doorag, maybe you could not quite catch my point there. I used to live in Hong Kong for some years and I got to know too well about their typical media style. Really snobish, capitalist, and effecient anyhow!

Well done Fu, a deserving winner! Feel a little sorry for Ronnie as I think he deserves to win a tournement.

Don't tell me about the Asian upper class - travelled a lot in the regio - met a few Dings so you know....

Hurray for Marco! Fantastic under pressure, and it must be even harder because he keeps all of his emotion inside. Even afterwards he played to the stereotype of the reserved Chinese.

With Marco AND Dale in Shanghai winning from outside of the top 16, Jimmy'll probably get his hands on the World's next year! (I'm not joking though, he's been playing well in practice.)

His eyes look kind of red. Guess it's because of his contacts.

Good point. If they can do it, so could Anthony Hamilton or Ali Carter*. I wouldn't mind.

*I know he's in the top 16. But he hasn't won a ranker yet.

i thought ali carter is in the top 16. anyway, it's a great win for marco, he played very well, a deserved victory after 10 years of hard work. but to me, ronnie's mind wasn't in it right from the off. he played too many shots that earlier in the tournament he wouldn't have taken on, he was cueing far too quickly on many difficult shots, even by his own standards. he just didn't look like as composed as he was in the murphy match. i wish i'd known what happend. what a pity. i think i'll bet against ronnie from now on until he wins one. it seems he's not winning tournaments no matter how close he gets and how well he plays...
