Yes it is true. The Tuesday is a public holiday in China, apparently.

Where have these been publicly released? World snooker website or somewhere else?

              Thanks
I contacted them via e-mail last week (they actually answered, believe it or not!!). So "publicly" was probably a bad choice of words.

Any confirmation where The Grand Prix is held. I heard its moving to Glasgow, but no official news on it. I like to know it in time as might visit this one and have to book (cheap) tickets in time.

Interesting. I loved Grand Prix being held in Aberdeen, nice city and venue. Like Glasgow too. Hopefully can go and watch this year again!

The venue has not been confirmed yet. (where The UK has been confirmed) which brings to doubt whether it will be held in Aberdeen. Think it is still in negotiation as Dave Hendon also does not know yet. Other "reliable" source whispered me Glasgow (but just rumours).

Well, any of those 2 places will be great for me if I can go Seems the round robins might be gone as well? That would be a shame, enjoyed it last year, watching all those players.

edit: oh, almost missed it. UK championship venue confirmed? Telford again?

Telford is a joke of a Venue. World Snooker should be ashamed staging the UK there again...

Yes - it sounded like they had builders in there hammering away all week last year. One of the commenators finally admitted that the banging we could hear was the tin roof rattling in the wind !!

                            What a joke. FFS. unbelieavable..

BTW is it officially confirmed anywhere what format the grand prix will be this year ?

Can we start a petition to keep the round robins too ? ;-)

I hope it is in glasgow,no premier league snooker events in scotland this year,i was at the grand prix in aberdeen last year, plenty of spare seats there, it will be no surprise to be moved from there,we must have 1 big snooker event in scotland

I seriously hope they stop doing group phases in Grand Prix and Malta Cup. Most games are boring and with no passion/emotion whatsoever.
