  • Huangshan Cup Snooker All-Star Game

On May 14, the capital of China's Anhui province will host the 2008 Huangshan Cup Snooker All-Star Game. The first two days will see the Chinese top 16 players (including Ding Junhui, Liang Wenbo and Liu Chuang) compete for the 4 places in the international phase of the tournament, where the four qualifiers will have the chance to play against British big stars like Ronnie O'Sullivan, Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams.

any member here from china would give report about this tournament?

I heard that Mark Williams may not be going, will be replaced by A.N. Other if he doesn't go...

Also there may be problems because of the terrible earthquake that's affected vast areas of China.

if they do go, it would be a very nice gesture if the prize money was turned over to the disaster funds for the earthquake and/or the cyclone that hit Burma (Myanmar).

Many famous sports stars in China like Liu Xiang, Yao Ming, etc. have already showed their nice gestures in front of this devastating natural disaster taking place in Mid China. I have read from some Chinese website that Ding is ready to donate all his prize money from this Huangshan event. It is said that he also offered his full Malta Cup prize money to help the relief of snow disaster in China earlier this year. He is no doubt an adorable young man.

And Carter won 5:3 in the final, despite Fu making a 139 break (highest break in the tournament) in frame 6.
