It's BACK and tonight's main course is delish, Jimmy Vs Ding, Ron Vs Henders.

    Predictions; 3:3 and 5-1 respectively:
Jim to blow hot then cold as Ding finds his feet and starts to feel more at home with a high break of the night (127), then Ronnie to stifle the Auchterarder man then steamroll him but not without his opponent#s class shining through with the old boy getting a £1k century in the final frame... rye grins from the Scot to follow with broader smiles from the Essex World #1.

(Let's hope the ticket sales problem's been sorted out, or they'll struggle to get any snooker back down that way; Plymouth, The Pavilions)

one of mine; no copyright; yees!

For those that can watch, spare a thought for those round the globe that can't. http://www.premierleaguesnooker.com/

Well, bit of different result than I tried to Mystic Meg... Jim lost 4-2 after going 2-0 up; woeful missed black to middle hands Ding-Dong the frame and wins the last 3 too; 80+ break his best effort. Jimmy seemed to be swaying on his shot,so some more practice needed to iron that flaw out; don't want another McManus/Parrott type technique on the circuit. The frames Jim lost were back to times when he struggled under the weight of expectation; but hopefully not too much sauce the night before!

As for the other match, I tippy-tapped on a PDA for the benefit of our overseas friends to the east.

      Ronnie Vs Hender; 2 each.

Frame 5... Missed the break-off, but it seems like hendry left ron safe in the bottom right corner, time-out taken prepared him to take a difficult red to middle left... smooth strike and a 125 later it's over... Could've been more but Ronnie played the final black while the white was still moving!

Ronnie 3:2 up, 1 frame left, he can't lose.

      Frame 6

      Hendry breaks, black tied up.

      Safety.

Henders with a cracking red to middle left; identical to Ron's opener in the last. He gets to 12 but ha to play safe after running out of position trying to get on the reds around the black.

Ron with a rizzla safety, timeout for henders, rizzla straight back at ron.

Hender's awful safety escape puts the white in amonst the reds; only 1 from ron though - only an awkward butt lifting attempt to get on the black an o tion; doesn't make it.

      Tight safety exchange.....

Hendry catches a knuckle, ron with good red along cushion. FOUL. Ron missed brown & hits yellow attemptinga snooker; FREE BALL.

Henders on 21 now 43-2 up, mostly pinks as the blacks stuck on the back cushion, clipping reds in and staying nicely on the pink.

Now on 42, 57-2 up... Runs out of position, misses blue.

Ron's in with an easy red, only 14 though as he's needing to scalpel reds out to pot; 58-16.

      Safet exchange.

AMAZING long red by henders & only needs a colour to make the frame safe'ish..... He goes for a snooker instead!

      Safery exchange.

      Henders pots black by accident!

Couple of safety shots but ron gives henders a medium lengthhalf ball to bottom right corner... An annoyed Henders sinks it for handshakes at 67:23

      Final result; 3:3

Hendry admits later he miscounted on the 3rd last red!

Ronnie ends with 2 centuries; £1000 each.

"exciting for the crowd", Ronnie grins, "so many mistakes".

Hendry admits the same, a lot of mistakes and says that, "Jimmy will have a sleepless night about that black".

Results & updated tables'll be on the BetFred site soon I'd guess.

If you look closely Mr.Chrisdebag I predicted that Jim would blow like a dodgy hairdrier and I was proved quite right; temperament cost him dear again, while Ron was sublime with 2 centuries which apart from a few hendry pots from Ron's missed safety and failing to hit a respotted black altogether; I'd've been spot on.

Haircuts? What the hell was Mike "calculator" Hallett doing out of his house with his barnet loking like that, eurgh!

nearly as good as a team mate last week that just before the match started, popped the white in the corner of the table way behind the green and said, "If I pot the blue, we'll win 5 nil". He did, we did... it weren't no pocket-pace dribble either.

Ronnie seems to be half believable again about playing pool in the US, but it's no doubt just another one of his stunts to make us feel like he the game doesn't matter that much to him in his life, but the next week he'll be moaning it's his lifeblood and there's not enought tournaments.

Someone needs to get hold of him and tie his tongue to the roof of his mouth; he'll rarely do anything now that he was liable to do in his younger days; it's the juniors that I worry about when they're being set-up for being disappointed as hell if they're being made to feel like their hero doesn't want to play the game. I think in a Pro's contract, it should have basic stipulations that they'll be fined and lose ranking points for any tournament they pull out from without good cause. A WSA appointed doctor should examine anyone to avoid shenanigans of the China Open last year; though the scheduling was pretty poor.

There should be a raft of our U.S. buddies posting some thoughts soon.

[edit: just to explain rizzla saftey which no-one's queried... or maybe I can assume it's a bit self explanatory so I don't need to]
