Can imagine that's right Solly, it turns around when the sprog is used as an incentive to play well again; Darren Morgan after chopping his cue up is a prime example. (Judd lost heavily to Ding Dong; needs to brush up on safety play)

Yeah, we need Phil Yates to mock up some graphics showing Form V Ranking position relative to births!
Form's better than I could imagine for my restricted practice opportunities, thanks for asking Stew; got to a final at the weekend of a handicap event that no-one near scratch ever does any good at.... till now, several high 40's and a 75 were nearly enough, but the guy in the final played well enough to know I couldn't have done much better; he fluked the black to win the second frame and I'd've only needed a handful more balls over 2 frames to win 3-0.... lost three nil. League wise I'm on 86% win with the team 2 points off the top off the Premier. I'm running a Weekender event next Saturday; combining it with the England game.... I'll balance the beer with holding things together plus playing okay, but smooth running must reign.
How's your plans for the Welsh Open goin?Head Still... Follow Through... Keep it Tight... Never Give Up... Ton 'em if you can!

handicap events are great aren't they........you always end up playing some bandit that shouldn't be off the handicap they are, I think they call it character building........not.
I have 2 kids and one on the way reverse side so going to tournaments is when I can fit it in really.
Hoping to go to prestatyn to watch a few qualifiers soon. played Andy Lee in the coventry league on Wednesday and he never missed a ball. he had a 42 and a 47 in the first, I had a 48 in the second, missed a black off the spot and he cleared up with a 71. He plays on the challenge tour, plays 6 times a week. would be nice to compete with these guys on a level playing field sometimes

That must be such a buzz, being able to look forward to playing a potential Pro each week would be such an incentive. We had one that got to at least the top 300 but had a few screws loose. Your Mr.Lee, Rileys 'A' man, nifty website of your League shows some good info. Is it a 5 man 2 frames a night format? The names Mick Price & M.Selby would be ones we've seen on the TV then? A 131 highest break for your League is impressive.
Seeing the qualifiers would be a great road trip, I'm wondering where they play them as I played in a tournament up there for, errrrm, how can we say, errm, cough - holiday camp winners! Thing is, there were some serious looking players there, a few with coaches in tow too. Do they set up the main hall with cubicles? Is it the fact you've got some good players in your League that you're going to wales?
I remember one of our members, Ian Davies http://www.thesnookerforum.com/member-u_683.html that mentioned playing a deaf team http://www.thesnookerforum.com/showt...ight_deaf.html looks like he's in your league, looking again, he plays out of Copswood 'E' and gets a mention for a 27 break on http://www.cdsl.org.uk/cdsl/Databases/Res_Div5.htm
When the site's fully upgraded, we could have a links section dedicated to where the members play. Our's use LeagueRepublic http://www.leaguerepublic.com/gen/In...vision=6005970. Or Maybe add a link section in Members' profiles... what the hell, or BOTH!
How's your team getting on?Head Still... Follow Through... Keep it Tight... Never Give Up... Ton 'em if you can!

Mick Price got to world no 21 and Selby played for Hinckley A 2 weeks ago.
Ben woollaston also plays in the league, he had a 133 and a 137 in the league last year. Our team are 5th at the mo, doing well.
I like to watch the qualifiers just too see how much better than us these guys really are
