Cheers Son, Ron just hammered poor Jim 5-1. Did Shaun get a 125 and Stevo a 117?

I missed Steves century but Shaun got a 125 yes - missed the pink at the end. Apparantly Ronnie didn't realise he was on for a maximum in the last frame! Can't believe that, guess he must have been distracted by the 7 point foul.

Aye, I've done it myself quite a few times too! not. Some nice exhibition shots at the end by Ron, not surprised Jim threw in the towel. Jim's still not starting quick enough like good ole Clive said Shaun did - wonder what he can do to turn that round? Not get the sh*i kicked out of him at the worlds years ago and lose a bit of confidence on the way.

Yes, a time machine and a sensible head would put Jimmy near the top of the all timers list with at least 3 world titles under his belt and as many as 10 if you think that he reached the final in 1984 and would have been good enough to still challenge for them today if he hadn't had the confidence knocks along the way.

I suppose any tournament win for Jim now would be greeted with ecstatic celebrations and multiple Grand Nationals along the optics with beer flowing like a river..... it just would've been better to do it THAT way round years ago, rather than having to play a match the next morning!

And what did his eyes look like? ermmm, well.......

                and then it would be

Must have been difficult to avoid having such a good time off the table as he did; some more boring players were off practicing and sucking on bickies'n'milk..... Nigel Bond, maybe!
