Live Streaming Sticky Thread????

Anyone want a thread into which members can post up-to-date links to live streaming of matches held all season?

I do!

In Canada we get NO snooker on TV.
I bet all the many non-UK residents would find such a resource invaluable.

Any thoughts?

Noel, we have a thread for live streams for every tournament in tournament's section.
The problem is - there's no permanent link. On Eurosport the adress of the stream changes by every session, same with justin.tv and other sites. If we make one thread for the whole season - I'm afraid it'll be a nightmare trying to find something there because there will be too many posts in it
Add here advices about streams not working, alternative solutions, questions and everything else - and we'll get 1000+ comments thread that will be impossible to navigate, I'm afraid. Separate threads for each tournament work fine, IMHO.

Even though it doesn't show the Professional WSA Tour Championships, www.cuesport.tv is a great Cue Sport video library with UK and English Pool challenge and Pro-Am matches and some action from the GB9 Tour and also some Snooker matches and trickshots (The World Ladies Final is on there), there are also Pool coaching videos from The Monk!

Thanks for replying darrus... also special thanks for being one of the better sources on TSF for live links.

I appreciate your point concerning how many posts might appear and how minute-by-minute streams are up or down... but that's what I'm talkin' about!

My suggestion really is for a "What's on NOW" thread for any or all snooker streams... not having to wade through ISBF or Bahrain Tournament Discussions or Last 16 or Other threads... hoping to find something.

Even posting of cool YouTube vids... such as "Ding Casual 147" last week is much enjoyed and appreciated... !

Maybe a topic in The Virtual World?

Combining what Noel and Darrus has said, why couldn't we have have a live streaming thread per tournament which remains sticky as long as the event is on. Basically kinda like what we have right now but with extra "stickiness".

I couldn't figure that out at first either.

If you go to FORUMS -> Pro Tournaments -> Bahrain instead of the usual HOME where you are taken by default the live streaming thread appears on top.

Hege is there a way to make it stick in the HOME screen itself ?

I'm no technican (Robert will know better than me) but I don't think so. The list on the starting page is for recent threads only. There is, however, on top of that list a 'Featured Forum' section. There you will find direct links to the tournament subforum, as well as direct links to find the Draw, WSA tournament page, Tickets, Live Scoring (very useful), Order of play (better than BBC's if I may say so!), Eurosport webpage and the Predictions threads. So it's really only two clicks away from the starting page.

Never paid much attention to the featured forum before but it is handy. Can we have another category "Live Streaming" just like "Live Scoring". That should certainly be technically possible and it would make it one click away form the starting page.

With all due respect, the live streaming thread is now sticked on top of the tournament forum. So not that hard to find.
