How ignorant are Sky - they still haven't realized that the family name is Ding, not Junhui.

I don't think Sky have anything to do with this, if they had, the streaming would unlikely to be available on these sites.
That said - it is ignorant of the broadcaster to display his name incorrectly.

              Mark Selby's 100th ton ...

Mark made his 100th ton today in the 2009 Champpionship League Snooker during his match against Joe Perry. It was his second in the tournament and actually the second of the tournament.

              Congratulations Mark!

The streaming was live on the internet of the premier league snooker, and the darts final last night m8, both were on SKY

Yes, great achievement. I think he´s very close to Ronnie on the centurylist for the season. But why do centuries count at the Championsship League and Premier League and not in international tournaments.

Because they are professional tournaments with tables made to certain specifications I believe.

A few notes here on my blog from the day's action if it helps anyone get an idea for it.

But the premier leagues has always been an invitational tournament for the selected chosen few.

Basicly I think the tables are to standards as well in John Higgins tour, and I saw a clip on Youtube with Neil Robertson making his third 147 downunder at what looked like a professional table and an educated judge.

Based on my knowledge of the danish billard world I can´t imagine that the table John Higgins played on in Copenhagen this autum wasn´t up to professional standards, but he didn´t make any centuries .

Another thing, are they using the shot clock in this tournament ? I saw a little from the matches this afternoon, but didn´t see signs of a clock.

Yeah you're right, but at the end of the day the PL/CL are still recognised as professional tournaments and Higgins' aren't. Rightly or wrongly that's all it comes down to really.

There was no shot clock, shame really, would add another dimension to it.

It´s actually strange there is no shot clock, as the winner qualifies for the premier league (or did last year).

For tons to be recognized the tournament must be accepted as a professional tournament and the tables must conform and be certified to WPBSA standards. For instance Ronnie's 147 in Kilkenny Masters 2007 was not recognised because although the tables were conform they had not been certified while centuries made in PL are.

Do this mean, that WPBSA actually sends a person to check the measurements of the hole and angles etc. before a tournament ?
