But at least it seems like Andy Lee should be quite certain to be only 809 frames behind.

John Parrott beat Daniel Wells 5:3 and will now play Dominic Dale (pitty one can't watch that), Peter Lines beat Alan McManus 5:1 and Atthasit Mahitthi David Gray 5:0

Mahitthi is now to play Steve Davis, but I guess no matter how the match ends, he will continue due to the Premier League clash. I don't like that, Steve should have withdrawn from the qualifiers...

Then it will end with a walkover for the wildcard entrant to get a match against Ronnie O´Sullivan, if the path from Dotts withdrawl has to be followed.

Well, Davis - if he wins tomorrow - goes to Bahrain, his first match is against Ronnie and he most likely will lose it so he'll be safely back in UK in time for PL match If Steve manages to go further - then he'll probably be forced to withdraw to fulfill his obligations with PL, but I guess he'll think about it when it comes to that.
No need to give away ranking points, especially if he wants to stay in top-32 by the end of the season.

What about Liang, did he get it?

Yep, first time I've ever seen a 147 on World Snooker's live scoring.

yeah same...i was wondering whether we were going to see another 5-0 from him so i watched a frame on live scoring, saw he was on 16, and i said: "147", and sure enough, he made it! haha

Two 139 breaks and a 147 from Wenbo, that's pretty impressive. Would be nice if he could produce something like that in the televised stage.

Oh, and I just saw he made a 115 as well. That's 4 centuries in a best of nine, one of which is a maximum, that can only be compared to Ronnie O'Sullivan I think. The main difference is that this match wasn't televised unfortunately.

That's sensational really, especially when I believe that his career best before today was a 134

In other news, Judd Trump could be about to lose.

just an average afternoon's work for Wenbo!

It just goes to prove that there is some stunning snooker played here at Pontin's during the qualifying rounds. Sadly there's no streaming (we're not allowed to do it on GSc, we did ask!) but if anyone is able to get here anytime for a couple of days, you've got two sessions of play a day and 8 tables in play, so always something good to choose to watch.

the tons have been going in thick and fast today.. Rory McLeod had two in his match. McManus one in the only frame he won...
