  • Wenbo made 147 in Bahrain

Wenbo made a 147 in 4th frame in Bahrain against Martin Gould. He will play Micheal Judge next.
He won his match 5-1 with breaks of 115, 139, 147 and 139.

Just want to start a new thread although I am aware it has been covered in another thread about Potin.

Thats some effort, i think i'm right in saying Ronnie is the only player to get 5 centuries in a best of 9, and he had a maximum in that too, Wenbo is some player and you would think he'll be winning something in the not to distant.
After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

Wow. That is impressive. I love watching Liang play. Hes really great to watch. When he gets all his shots, hes one heck of a potter when he gets going.

Great effort from Wenbo. I also love watching him play, but I think he still needs a year or two to get amongst the winners, and it will probably also require some better safety play.

He is the last Chinese player reminding out of the 3 or so qualifiers I believe. He seems to be a better players than the rest of the Chiense, beside Ding that is.

I think he is very entertaining to watch, love to see him do well. It is quite nice to see him joining the 147 club so soon.

Wonder when he made his first 147, anyone knows?

Does anyone know if you get any prize money for doing it in the qualifiers?

P.S.: Give him the wildcard for the Masters already.

Well, hes certainly got a chance to.

1st ever Chinese player to reach the quarter finals of the World Championship and if he does well in the UK then I think he may well get that wild card to the Masters.

A match I would really love to see is Ding vs Liang. That would be a great watch. I hope it happens very soon.

A string of centuries, that is some performance!
It is always nice to hear great things about a young player. I think Liang himself should be also very pleased with himself, that once in a while he has been really able to bring such practice/exhibition stuff into a real match. Bravo!!

I was heard that there are only about 20 audiences who saw Wenbo's 147.

A shame. Not often that sort of level of performance is seen

Ya Welshsteve, a damn shame, that!

You know if some chavs dragged a 6 x 12 into any high street in UK and played a game ... there would be vid on it!

                              Maybe Wenbo's family/friends taped it?

michaelm ... 20 people! Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
