Here's what I wish for: Graeme Dott's hand and health to be restored, Murphy's personal problems to get solved, Matthew's game to come back and Ronnie's present condition to improve.
If he pulls out mid-match there's shock and scandal and some would say rightly so; if he withdraws days before the tournament begins, stating a proven medical condition, same reaction ensues.
Blunt question: would you rather watch a Ronnie - or any other player - unfit to play to an obvious degree struggling and then exploding at the post-match or not at all?
Exhaustion IS a medically defined term, as far as I know.
