  • Mark King

Mark King will be looking to put a disappointing early start to the season behind him when he faces Stephen Lee in the Bahrain Open on Tuesday night. With a host of notable absentees from the event, the Royal Boss will fancy his chances of ending a career long ranking tournament hoodoo. Aiming to reach his first final since finishing runner up at the 2004 Irish Masters, can King go one better and finally be King of the baize?

As i said in another topic, he has a very decent draw. Stephen Lee in the first round, and possibly an out of sorts Robertson in the second. One of the better chances he'll get this season.

Having said that, I think Lee might take him.

If he can play like he did against Selby at the WC, then he can get far, but he hasn´t shown anything so far this season, so I voted for an early exit.

I think Stephen Lee will beat him but it will be close match i think the head to head in meetings is 7-2 to Stephen Lee.

At the time of posting this exactly 1 out of 25 votes are for Mark King being the Winner. No prizes for guessing who voted so

Joe Public doesn't seem to share your enthusiasm, Boss. 20/25 votes for early exit

                I voted Semi-Finals

King beat Lee in the qualifiers last season in the decider 10-9. If the match is close, King will be better in the pressure situations

I've been looking forward to a meeting between King and Ned. How fortunes can change so quickly, with King one place higher in the provisional rankings
