And bloody hell, I really thought that Holt would win that match, even more so when he went 4-0 up. I know the mental side of his game is hardly perfect but blimey.
Great comeback. Holt has been a player where the mental side of the game and the toughness therein has been a battle. Clearly a talent and he's has had a decent start this season with good results against Cope, O'Brien and Allen, but it's hard when a player comes back from 4-0. I didn't see the last two frame scores, but it looked like Milkins won the first 2 convincingly and the third he always had a lead.
To be fair to Robert Milkins, he is a very fluent player and although inconsistent and perhaps not the greatest tactical player, when on full flow he is a quick and good player to watch.
""I've had good moments in my career before, but as an all-round package this season has been the best I've ever played," said Holt, who has never been beyond the quarter-finals of a ranking event. "I'm hitting the ball better than ever and I have improved a lot mentally. I'm handling things which go against me on the table a lot better."
Wow, what a great comeback from Milkins, I'm really happy that he won. I don't think he will have a chance against Hendry, but this is a great run nonetheless.
Yeah convincing performance from 4-0 down. Very unusual that a player has that lead and loses and when you look at it, even more unusual as Michael didn't really have any good frame-winning chances. The most he scored in a frame was 28.
Milkins does have a chance against Hendry, but Hendry will be favourite and it is one of those strange games for Hendry where it could be his tactical game see him through.
