Always dreamed of seeing the best live players but I think it will not be possible because I think very difficult to return such a big event happening again in Brazil.
You can access the event's official website which is www.brazilmasters.com.br and then you talk about your opinions

      The matches have been announced.

      http://www.worldsnooker.com/staticFi...~166150,00.pdf

Or to make it easier to read, the round 1 matches are as follows.

      Mark Selby vs Stuart Bingham
      Peter Ebdon vs Stephen Lee
      Jamie Cope vs Igor Figueiredo
      Graeme Dott vs Mark Davis
Shaun Murphy vs Brazilian Wild Card Number 2
Martin Gould vs Ricky Walden *
Stephen Hendry vs Brazilian WIld Card Number 1
      Ali Carter vs Steve Davis

      * According to the format above, it's still Mark Allen. I edited that.

            Setting the pace

And the Brazilians are setting the pace to the event with the first century going to Igor Figueiredo against Jamie Cope: 114. It really is a shame about the prices even if they had "promotional" half price tickets in advance it is still too much!!! It is too much in terms of any snooker tournament and seeing as it was the first one of this level in Brazil they definitely should have made it cheaper and more accessible and the crowds would make the news... there doesn't seem to be a word about this tournament in Brazilian news websites...

Hi i watched it live on the Internet its a shame that there was no crowds watching it live account its to expensive to watch also and a lot top 16 players in the Wortld are not playing in it

How can they promote snooker in Brazil when the top players like the Osullivan JunHui Williams Higgins Trump just to name a few do not show up

The players last year were complaining that there was not enough tournaments and this year they can play in at least 15 torunaments around the World

Barrry Hearn is mad about this and he should fine them amount of money and ranking points and you would see the players changing there mind about coming to these events.

What do you think about this cheers Leonard

It seems that Brazilian Masters is a good but unsuccessful experiment.

the economy in brazil is booming. as a result, consumer spending (on entertainment and sport events) is rising - tickets for concerts e.g. justin bieber, avril lavigne and also major sporting events e.g. soccer are in hot demand. snooker is gaining in popularity quickly in brazil - i frequented some clubs while i was visiting a mine there a few months ago (they have their own version of snooker too called sinuca). people are not showing up for the masters not because of the price of the tickets, but because of the billings / attractions.

incidentally, it also shows you the crowd pulling power of the new world no. 1 - when you can count the number of people on one hand paying to watch him play in a match.

Hendry has won 4-1 over Noel ?.
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Yes, he fell out of position after last red making for a difficult shot on black which he missed. He struggled a lot throughout the match but came on strong in that last frame. Could be tired with all the travelling?
