Does anyone know just how many ranking points Matthew needs to stay in the top 16 - and if that many are available to him!!- i have tired to work it out but I'm not sure.

It all depends on the results of other players. At the very least, he needs 2901 ranking points to stay in the top 16.
O'Sullivan ended his press conference by responding in the negative to a bizarre question from a Chinese journalist as to whether he had ever dreamt of becoming a milkman.
Does anyone have any idea why the journalist asked as to whether he had ever dreamt of becoming a milkman? and what the hell is milkman?

At very least he has to score more points than Harold, Cope, Fu, Carter, Bond, Hawkins, Holt, Bingham, Selby, King, Swail in the remaining two events. So probably a semi final and a quarter final should do it.

I can`t believe that Stephen has lost. In a first round! It`s impossible I`m crying...
You like Stephen very much?
I'm sad too, I hope he will be in good form at WC!
It's good that not only in England love snooker, there's people like me and you, yes Raingirl?

Mark Williams v Jamie Cope
Steve Davis v Stuart Bingham
Stephen Maguire v Mark King
Shaun Murphy v Mei Xiwen
More normal time
Peter Ebdon v Joe Swail
Barry Hawkins v Ding Junhui
Anthony Hamilton v Mark Selby
Ken Doherty v Li Hang
I'm guessing there is no chance we'll get to see the Doherty match, seeing as Ding is playing at the same time, and that the first match on telly will be Williams v Cope (with Mark being the defending champion and all).
