I think the pressure is starting to tell on hawkins here, he seems to be starting to make mistakes. Ding seems to have the upper hand at the moment... if it goes to 4 frames each i cant see hawkins having much hope in the last.

Ding has had an unbelieve streak of luck there, to get up to 28. He's not really playing well, but if he pots the balls...
C'mon now Barry!
That having been said, Selby looks to be on the safe side in his decider: 79 - 0 with a break of 75.
And Ebdon v Swail just ended at 3-5.Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

I think he has done really well under the circumstances, the crowd have shown him no respect, clapping when he misses and generally making more noise when he's on his shot. Strange how Ding gets good order when he's at the table. Well done Barry!

I think to be honest that Ding is still recovering from his Masters' experience, a shame but at such a young age to be expected.
I also think a lot of the bigger name players have their concentration elsewhere. The Crucible looms large in everyone's mind at the moment

It's such a shame because he's obviously exceptionally talented. But they push him too hard and now he's crumbled. It seems to happen every time someone young shows some good form. I think people need to settle down and stop looking for the new Stephen Hendry. Putting such pressure on such young people is very very unfair."I'll be back next year." --Jimmy White

I can't help but wonder if Ronnie will lose interest in the China Open now that Junhui's out. It seems that everything and then some has been about O'Sullivan and Ding, judging from media coverage and indeed what Ronnie has been saying himself.
@ rambon: Isn't it time to let go of the Masters final now? Our Eurosport commentators were going on and on about "not recovering from the festive season" well into the Malta Cup, which I found rather silly. It's in the past. I'm sure Ding's over it.Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Ding went through a very traumatic experience at Wembley, when for the first time he experienced a totally partisan crowd which wanted him to lose. It would take a lot for someone to bounce straight back from that.
I hope he's OK for the World Championships, because I can't see Ronnie not being ready this year and he'll have to befiring to beat him.
Ebdon's preparing himself for the Worlds I reckon.
White for the title?
