I am not too surprised with Ebdon's defeat. Since the 2004 Malta Cup he has only won 5 best of 9 matches. 5 wins in 10 (best of 9 primarily) tournaments isn't the best of form.TSF World Champion 2010

Once again the top half of the draw is much weaker and it would seem as though the winner of Maguire verses Murphy will make the final. Funny that the half Murphy's in is much easier.TSF World Champion 2010

Frank.
Maybe he will turn it around if he does drop out the top 16 but he could very easily go the way of Jimmy White and struggle to stay in the 32 or possibly off the tour altogether now such is the strength in depth.

I second Cueman and atthebookies. Likewise Jimmy, it is a pity we lose a player with a flamboyant style of play. hopefully Wlliams can turn it around next season, though I thought he was coming back to his best last season around this time of the year when he won the China Open and had a few decent spells before that. if not coming back next season, it could be all over. And for Ding, after The Masters I already aired that particular final could break his career. I hope not, but it does not look good. Positive he qualified for Sheffield, but the first round will be crucial for the rest of his career. If he can overcome Mr. O'sullivan it will boost his morale and be back on track. But it seems unlikely.

Jamie Cope v Stuart Bingham
Stephen Maguire v Shaun Murphy

All hope of seeing John's match on telly just went down the drain there, I suppose. Well, another day on Live Score / MSN / TSF / Eurosport.Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Maija, do you have an idea who is on the other televised table (I suppose you think Ronnie is on the first one)? There should be a possibility to watch the video from that one too... Too bad eurosport is showing one table only, and yesterday showed recorded matches after the short Cope vs Williams match, instead of the very interesting Davis vs Bingham match...ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN
