Yes, I know, the bored genius and the stuff Don't like that in him. If he can't get himself concentrated on a good game because he thinks opponent won't be playing good, he should think just a bit about the spectators.

Anyway...good valuable points. Wooohhoooooooooo!
Sad about Jimmy. What a way to end the season.
Nina, I don't think any professional thinks in the lines of "Oh, he's a humble qualifier, not worthy of my attention, I can beat him blindfolded"...etc. I think it's more of a subconscious thing. Of course, they all say that "you're not playing the opponent but the table" and yet I really feel there are subconscious aspects affecting their game when they play against a lower ranked adversary. Until said adversary starts playing awesome stuff and it's time for the wake-up call.S.P.I.L.F.

Yes Black Cat, it's subconscious thing, but I think would be only better if Ronnie can control his mind just a little bit. He is robbing himself, he can switch off his brilliant play just with a little click in his mind, but he can't switch it on as effectively, when it does matter. He sometimes burns out before the big match with the opponent who plays brilliantly and whom Ronnie has been looking to play (Ding, Higgins, Hendry...)
Oh well, Ronnie is Ronnie no matter what Good thing he won, but I hope he won't sit there tomorrow with a rather disinterested and pale face.ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN

I wasn't referring to the causes however, but the way this (subconscious) attitude comes across to the spectators.
Anyway I think April gave an excellent reply there.

Maguire is playing pretty awful today. Looks like Shaun Murphy is going to get through to the final now with the draw he was given.TSF World Champion 2010

Pheeew!
One frame for Maguire, he seems to all of a sudden have realised he's actually in a tournament
So ATM it looks like this:
Murphy v Maguire 3-1
Selby v Doherty 1-3
Cope v Bingham 2-2
Swail v Hawkins 0-3 (29-29, Hawkins on a 20 break)Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!
