  • ding: it's just frustration

on ding's official blog, he said he felt much better now, and what he said about the match and not want to play snooker is purely out of frustration. it never feel good when you lose a match, he said.

he also said, next time when he meets barry hawking, he'll make sure to get the revenge. thanks for all the supports he's got even when he lost. and he'll stay in beijing to watch the rest of the matches, he thought the players still in the tournament are playing pretty well.

Well,he's taking it well. I don't blame him for feeling frustrated, and I'm sure he'll get back to his best again soon.
Thanks for bringing us updates on Ding,Gensdon

Even in his very first match he looked unsettled, his face full of expression and at times a little embarrassed by a missed shot.
Doubt is a snooker players worst enemy, I hope he does not dig himself a pit and bury himself in it for a year or so. John Higgins has a tendancy to do this and to my mind he has never come close to the player he became in the latter nineties.
I cant believe a solitary mauling by Ronnie would have this effect on Ding and believe it goes deeper than that. What that could be I have no idea but I think a big performance against Ronnie win or lose is now imperitive he needs a performance he can live with through the long closed season.
To my mind you have two things in snooker that must be right above all others and that is your cueing and your head, to have problems with either is a potential long term disaster. I just hope the kid comes through it and emerges stronger but defeats at important points of your career have sent many a player to a state of mind that gets more difficult to escape from the longer it goes on.
After watching him in the china I am very concerned.
Ronnie is looking fragile so this could be some match.
