You recall wrongly my friend. None of the eight wildcards are on the Main Tour.
You are right. I am sorry. I recall seeing five Chinese names playing in the China Open qualifier in Jan. Three of them lost in the first round, the other two lost in the third round. But as I look closer, these are not the same names, none of the five was awarded a wild card in the China Open.
