  • Seems like Higgins has gotten himself a bogeyman, but he´ll probably be satisfied with the fact that he won the most important match agains Selby.
Actually the two could meet again at the Cruicible final this year.

hehe, funny, I was thinking something pretty similiar.

absolutely. saying someone who did, what was it, 12 or 13? centuries at the worlds would have no breakbuilding skills whatsoever wasn't excactly smart anyway.
but I guess there will always be people who doubt players whose style they don't like that much.

and admittedly, eventhough he's having a huge season, he will have to proof his brilliance by staying at this level or even improving in the following.

            • I must say I'm not a great fan of Mark Selby's style but he's definitely an awsome match player. Well done.

yea... i prefer older players, old school-best school, but this young man really force you to like him... excellent offensive playing with no fear; sometimes he make stupid errors but if he will play constantly like this, his future will be very good..

                • Correct! There is indeed a difference between like or dislike a certain style (which everyone is entitled to) of play, and to acknowledge the quality of a player.

For instance I dont like Ebdons' style as a player, but I do acknowledge him as an all time top player and having respect for it.

know the feeling, I'm about the same with ebdon and several other players, but well, there are so many different styles to the game, which I think is one of the things that makes it so attractive. I love snooker, and I like some ways to play it better than others but I absolutely acknowledge everyone who is playing on such a high standard as the guys do.

                            • I wonder if Murphy will stumble again at the semis as he has done numerous times this season. Still great achievement.

It sounds crazy to not like Ebdon´s style of play and have Selby as your favourite...
