          King crawls closer

King will have to beat Selby at Sheffield to stand a chance of making the Top 16, otherwise his efforts would have been for nothing and there will be more qualifiers next season. But that doesn't change the fact that he has been facing the likes of O'Sullivan and Selby next in early rounds of ranking tournaments. If his opponents were not Top 5 players all the time, he would be in the Top 16 provisionally already. He must feel very aggrieved

Judged by his appearance today he should be more than happy to end in top 32. I can´t see him beating Selby.

Considering he has reached just two last 16s this season I ama amazed at so high he is. Mark Williams is creeping ever closer to the 16 though.

The first round matches will be very interesting. There is app. 10 players battling about the last 5 places in the top 16. Even Carter and Dott can get in trouble.

At this point I would rather see Murphy at #1 than O'Sullivan. But of course Maguire, Sselby or Higgins would be preferred.
