The guy is not as stupid as you think. He is just a disrespectful person who thinks little of others and thinks he can get away with anything. If Rodney Walker doesn't ban him then he should resign citing the fact 'he cannot deal with vulgar upstarts'.

I have just seen the footage and its really embarassing and unforgivable. I cant get it, as you are really insulting the Chinese journalists and public who want to promote the sport.
I dont like the media trained footballers and managers who have nothing to add after post match interviews, but Ronnie really needs one. Did he think he was walking along the windows in our red light district?

Just mark my words. The incompetence of the WSA will show again as nothing will be done. I think this is really the limit. Bringing the sport into disrepute.

I have adored ROS for his displays on the green baize and always will. But,

        get your act together

I found it elsewhere and it now safely resides on my computer. Now there's something I'm not proud to have.

On the other hand, the majority of males wish for what he was saying but might not express it (or only with friends in a pub). You can walk on heads in the red light, so there surely is a market for it.

On the other hand, on a professional base and representing the sport in the limelight of millions of viewers he should have kept his decency, foremost as he should have considered his family sitting home as well.

I've seen Ronnie bored, morose, prolix, short, agitated, indifferent during his interviews and press conferences. Never ever have I seen him make lewd gestures and obscene comments before. While addressing the media, I mean, since we all remember the famous 2004 Worlds gesture. Therefore it strikes me as terribly out of character. I'm not outraged anymore. I'm just sad and worried, because there are things (almost) impossible to fight. And perhaps the worst is yet to come.

According to a reliable source, Ronnie's website crashed literally minutes after the O'Sullivan/Fu match was over. Minutes. So it is rather far-fetched to think that but anything can happen, right?

Yes it is working, Paul. Thing is I had double-posted and I hate that so I copied my last message and pasted it into my previous one; that's why it looks like that.

The same with me, Black_cat. And "the worst is yet to come" does not refer to a potential punishment, I think.
                            I am worried, as well.

I cannot claim to personally suffer from manic depression so please forgive me playing the amatuer psychologist here, but someone pointed out to me on PM that Ronnie was probably unwell yestarday.

I would guess that he was in a what is known as a 'manic' phase. This would completely explain his crazy and recklesss suicidally impatient snooker, and his dreadfully childish, embarrasing interview.

                                Is this an excuse ?

Maybe not, but it is an explanation that makes a lot of sense.
